Missing My Baby!!

I'm not quite sure what has happened over the last 2 weeks, but my baby has disappeared, and has been replaced with a Little Boy! A very independent Little Boy!! What happened? Is this normal? Will I ever get my baby back? AAGGGHHHH.

Seriously though, Braedyn has changed so much lately, in the sense that he does so much on his own without Mommy or Daddy's assistance. And while this might seem like a blessing, it is still a bit sad.

Braedyn is bonding with the kitty cats. They come up and sniff him all the time (to make sure he's legit, I guess). You'll notice in this picture that my Little Boy is eating pasta and peas... on his own. He doesn't like to be fed by anyone else, he wants to feed himself. Sure it might take 45 minutes to finish a meal, but I guess that is a sacrifice we make. (Although I am secretly hoping that process speeds up a tad bit.) =)~

This is Braedyn in his first pair of Levi jeans. What is it about a pair of Levi's that magically turns your baby into a toddler? We had a cold front come through here in Florida, and as I was dressing him for school on Friday, I realized that I have ZERO pairs of jeans for him. What a bad Mommy!! So, I went out and found him a pair to wear on cold days (all 2 of them here in Florida). But I can't help but to think that they have aged my child by about 4 months!!

He has completely mastered the art of sitting down from the standing position. He moves around so fast these days, and is getting very brave when standing up. Sometimes he'll let go of the furniture, without even realizing it. I thought seeing him crawl was the cutest thing, but I believe that seeing my Little Boy take his first real steps will be even better!

And this is Braedyn in his Big Boy pajamas. No more snaps (thank goodness). Seriously though... who knew that "snap" versus "no snap" outfits would be the defining moment of when your baby becomes a true Little Boy.

And today, we had the family photo shoots (yes, shoots - plural) for our Christmas Cards. It's funny how much thought and effort you put into Christmas Cards when you have a child. This picture was one of mine and Ben's favorites, but unfortunately, it didn't make the cut. However, we are very proud of our finished product, and hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones to receive this wonderful masterpiece in the mail in a few weeks.

As you can tell, Braedyn "growing up" is exciting, but kind of sad as well. He's getting ready to have his very first Thanksgiving, which will be another photo shoot in itself. =) So, on that note, Happy Thanksgiving to all of my loyal readers!

Yes, Your baby is soon to be no more. It's very devastating. It's a hard thing to cope with. But you will be ok. I miss Jordan as a baby so much. I feel like I'm starting not to remember her as a baby. Thank god I was a picture freak b/c I look at them a lot. He definately is turning into a little boy. A very cute one I must say. Happy Thanksgiving to you! Don't forget to let him watch the Thankgiving Day parade. :)
