The Boy Genius

Well of course I'm talking about one of my kids, who the else would I be talking about?!? After Braedyn turned about 3 1/2, he has seemingly transformed into a learning machine. A couple months ago, I started to work on letter recognition with him. We made it into a fun activity that he really, really enjoyed. So he was continually asking to "do another project", which is what he called his letter learning activity. Couple that with his new big boy class at school, where the activities are more educational based, and he is just one step below Doogie Howser, M.D.

Here's a short video montage of Braedyn drawing circles, swimming (with floaties) in the pool, and reciting the alphabet letters he has learned. For those of you that are a wee bit lazy and receive these blog updates via email, you will have to go to this link to watch the video ---> wormeck.blogspot.com (Come on, now, don't be so lazy that you can't copy and paste that into your browser, you know who I'm talking to!)

He is so proud of himself, too. After he does something that he has just learned, we often hear him saying to himself, "Good Job, Braedyn". I kid you not, he actually compliments himself.

Braedyn also has conversations with Chase now, it's the Cutest. Thing. Ever. "Chase, are you ready to go to school?"... "Chase, do you want to watch Team Umizoomi?"... "Chase, it's time for you to go night-night." That last line, of course, is Braedyn's favorite thing to say to Chase. I think he says it about 4 times a day.

And a special thanks to Desiree and my MIL for all the great educational advice and learning tools you've given me. You should be so proud, you helped with the creation of a Boy Genius! =)~

I can't believe how big he is already! So sweet and smart! I think Spencer can give him a run for his money on those letters!
