Photo Shoot #713

Yes, I know - I take a gazillion photos of my precious Little Tyke. No one knows that better than Ben, who is forever buying more AA batteries for my digital camera. But as I like to say... "Whatever". =) And as always, you can click on all the pictures to make them bigger.

I don't get many profile shots of Braedyn, and I thought this one was especially cute. He just got out of the bath, and during this time of evening, the sun comes through the living room window and reflects the pool water movement onto the living room ceiling (don't try to understand it, just go with it). The water reflection on the ceiling fascinates Braedyn, and that is what he is looking at in this picture.

Now this is a perfect example of how all my efforts to get Braedyn to smile for the camera were well worth it. Not only is he seeing his own cute reflection in the mirror, but he can even see me holding the camera... and he KNOWS to look at the camera in the mirror and smile for the camera. Am I the only one that thinks he is an Exceptional Tyke?!?

After Braedyn started to get over his sickness, he slept in his crib again rather than his swing. But the problem was, he didn't want to sleep in his sleep sack anymore, he only wanted his blankie. Well, naturally this through us for a loop - I mean, just when we get one thing figured out... it changes!! So now that he is out of his sleep sack, he has the ability to move his legs alot more. And apparently this is his preferred sleeping position.

I took these two pictures of him sleeping because they are solid proof that this child is actually MINE. How is this proof, you may ask. Well... the way he is sleeping in these pictures is the EXACT same way that I sleep every night. I mean, sure he has blondish hair and blue eyes, but "whatever" - he sleeps like me!! Woo-Hoo... finally, something I can hold on to! Yes, I know this is a stretch, but try not to rain on my parade just yet!

Okay, aside from Braedyn just looking as cute as could be in this picture, I do actually have a reason for posting it. When Braedyn sits on the floor, he leans slightly forward for balance. When he sits in this chair, he leans back in it. Well, now that he is a seasoned veteran at sitting on his own, he apparently sits in his chair as if he's sitting on the ground. He doesn't lean back anymore, he sits forward! So ummm, is this normal? hehe.

Here is a better picture of it. In this photo, he is watching a Baby Einstein DVD, and he sat forward for the entire video... and he does that all the time now! At first, I thought he was too far away from the tv, so I moved him up. When he was only 3 inches away from the tv, I realized it wasn't a vision problem, it was just the way he preferred to sit. =) So I moved him back away from the tv, and he was perfectly content. Also, notice how he always has one hand on his foot... I'm serious when I say that his feet are his favorite thing to play with. Go figure...
