Umm, yeah, I know I've been MIA for about 2 weeks, but that's how long it's taken me to find the time for blogging! So let's see, what's new... I think Fall has finally arrived in Florida. Err, I mean, Fall arrived this past weekend, and has left already. The temps dropped about 20 degrees this weekend - down to a whopping 70 degrees out, which is frigid (by Florida standards anyway). To celebrate this beautiful weather, we took a trip to the Jacksonville Zoo.
Here is Braedyn trying to get a peek at the animals.
And while he knew most of the animals, there were a few he didn't know, such as the rhino - which he lovingly referred to as "Cow, Moooo, Cow". I mean, he wasn't THAT far off, was he?
I would like to say that Chase enjoyed the animals, too. But mostly he just enjoyed the attention from Grammy, as she showered him with kisses and made him grin that cute, adorable grin of his.
This is Braedyn riding the choo-choo train - his favorite part of the whole zoo. In fact, if he could just ride the train and forgo the animals, he would have probably done that! He's about 2 hours past his naptime at this point, so he's really struggling to stay awake for this train ride.
This was the giraffe feeding area with some awesome close-up shots of the giraffes. Braedyn especially enjoyed how close the giraffes were, and Chase, well, Chase just enjoyed watching all the people.

So with this cool weather, the kids actually got to wear something other than shorts. What is it about jeans and long-sleeved shirts that make your kids look so much older?
It's been a really long time since Braedyn had to put on a pair of jeans. In fact, it's been so long that he was slightly confused when I dressed him in them for school on Monday morning. He kept pulling at the bottom part of his jeans, as if he could just magically pull the bottom half off and make them shorts. It was pretty funny. So that, combined with his "Jacket Off!" comments should make for a wonderful cold-weather season.

Nicholas asked me this morning if it was a short sleeve shirt day again yet? Soon you will find that when you go to pull out the jeans again..none of them fit! Well, they fit Nicholas in the waist (the skinny bird that he is) but are high waters in the length!
That's how Katie's pants are Jen! But Kaiden loved his little footy PJ's! He had the biggest smile when we put them on him. And Katie, well, heck now she gets to wear slippers (or shoes!) around the house, so she is in heaven!
I know what you mean about them looking older in jeans and long sleeves! Though I love how Spence looks I can't help but think anytime I put him in something that isn't a onesie it ages him!
