Playing in Water

It's the end of May, and with the humidity setting in, it is becoming extremely uncomfortable outside in the 90+ degree weather. With our pool at a crisp 84-degrees, it's pretty much the only thing I go outside for these days. Chase was under one-year old for most of last summer, so this is the first year he is really able to enjoy the pool. And let me tell you, this kid is like a fish to water. We were amazed at how well he took to the pool. He would literally stay in it for hours if we let him.

These pictures are from his first time in the pool this year. At first, he wanted to sit on the steps and that was all. But within 30 minutes, he was pushing himself off the steps towards Ben. And loving Every. Single. Moment.

You know what the boys like better than swimming in a pool that cost tens of thousands of dollars? That would be running through a sprinkler that cost two dollars. Gee, imagine that...

I seriously LOVE that last picture of the two of them! It only took me about 70 pics to get these three decent ones. Sad situation that is. The other great thing about the sprinkler... it's a great way to get them completely exhausted right before nap time!

Here is some video footage of the boys having fun in the water. Or "wa-wa", as Chase lovingly refers to it.

Oh, to be a kid again...

So cute enjoying the wa-wa!

Spence loves the pool too! And sprinkler? Oh yes! Thinking tomorrow is going to be a sprinkler type of day, as the pool will be more packed than I like.
