Newest, Cutest Habit

Isn't it funny how babies get fixated on a certain habit, and do it ALL the time, and then all of a sudden they just stop, and the habit is sent to Never Never Land. Well, Braedyn's newest of his many fixations is sticking out his tongue when he smiles or laughs. Which - by the way - he is smiling and laughing ALL the time now! Yeah!!! Such a happy, happy baby.

So everytime we play with Braedyn or he sees something that makes him laugh, out comes that tongue. And not just a little peek of the tongue, but the whole darn thing - as you can see in the picture below of Daddy tickling Braedyn.

I must admit though, Braedyn smiling and laughing really creates some priceless Kodak moments... so adorable and precious. This reminds me of a funny story... I remember when Braedyn was first born, he stayed in the nursery the first night since I had a c-section and was pretty much immobilized, but the second night he stayed in the hospital room with us. That was probably one of the worst nights ever, he cried off-an-on from 10:00 pm - 4:00 am. (As Ben reads this, I can guarantee that he is cringing and distraught just thinking back on this very memorable night, hehe.) After that night, I'll never forget Ben saying "I was tricked! Every time I saw a picture of a baby, the baby is always smiling and happy, so I was tricked into believing that's how the baby always is. No one ever shows you a picture of a crying baby!" Aaahhhh, my wonderful husband, how naive he is!!
