This and That...

So, you know how some things just aren't apparent until you see it in a picture. You know, like when you are happy in love and put on a *few pounds*... but don't realize just how many pounds you put on until you see a picture of yourself. Come on, you all know what I'm talking about! Well, after looking at some recent pictures of Braedyn, I was a bit shocked as my first thought was - "Holy Crap, Where did that big kid come from?" I mean, just look at these two pictures...

... at what point did he start to resemble a kindergarten boy. What the heck happened to my baby? And sadly enough, just how grown up Braedyn is will become that much more evident once Baby Chase arrives. I don't even know if I can still call him Little Boy. So, on that note, our Big Boy's newest thing is saying "yeah" and "no" whenever he's asked a question. The conversation goes something like this:

Mommy: Braedyn, do you want to go outside?
Braedyn: Yeah
Mommy: Braedyn, do you want to watch a video?
Braedyn: Yeah
Mommy: Braedyn, do you want to go to bed?
Braedyn: No

In fact, I'm pretty sure that the only thing he ever says "no" to is in response to going to bed. Hmmm....

Anyway, I am finally done with work and have officially started my maternity leave. Or as Ben lovingly refers to it - "my vacation". And that would be yet another reason why he is still sleeping in the spare room! Of course, my first week is filled with chores, errands and appointments. Luckily it hasn't been that sunny out the past couple of days, so I've been getting some things accomplished other than laying out by the pool.

And oh yeah, I almost forgot... I finally had the joy of experiencing an actual contraction this past week - two of them. The first one woke me out of a dead sleep and was in my back. It lasted for about 30 seconds, and all that went through my mind was "owww" - "I'm paralyzed" - "holy crap" - "oh my gosh" - "owww again". Then the next day, I had another one in my belly which was a bit painful as well. As I was sitting down waiting for it to pass, Ben stated these lovely words to me "Awww, come on, the contractions are like 20 hours apart, what's the big deal". And this statement is coming from a guy who nearly passes out from a paper cut. I have no more words....

And finally, my last official doctor appointment is this week. The end is near!! So stay tuned for another update, you just may be blessed with multiple blog posts this week. I know you're jumping for joy at that thought!!

I dare you to do multiple post this week...especially since you are on vacation! ;-P

Yes, you will have to stop referring to him as Little Boy and start using Big Brother.

I came here via your sister's blog. I am glad I did, what a lovely peek inside the life of a devoted mother. Your little boy is precious. You so remind me of when I had my little boy and was waiting on his sister to be born. Best of luck with everything.
