Surgery Day

Little Chasey had his ear tube surgery today, and he did remarkably well considering he had no idea what the heck was going on. The whole procedure only takes about 5 minutes, but the build-up to it felt like it took forever.

Anyway, here are some pictures I took while we were waiting for his doctor to take him back to surgery. You seriously gotta love how cute he looks in his mini-hospital gown!

This is how he greeted all the nurses... with those chunky cheeks and his wild bedhead. Needless to say, he was a big hit with all the ladies.

He couldn't resist the huge stash of hospital supplies. He spent most of his time trying to crawl to this end of the bed to check out all the loot.

And here he is just rolling around and showing off for the nurses. He really was quite the little flirt!!

The surgery went well and all the excess fluid that was in his ears was drained out. Aside from one vomit session on the car ride home (thanks to the wonderful combination of motion sickness and the anesthetic), he's recovering quite well, and will be back to his normal self shortly. But for now, he's catching up on some much needed rest!
