Rough Week

I won't waste too much time complaining about my rough week, I'll just give you the highlights... It all started last Sunday when I started to get a bad headache and alot of stiffness in my neck and shoulders. Several doses of Motrin during the week subsided the pain. Then on Wednesday night, it came back with a vengeance - complete with a really bad migraine. I stayed in bed most of the day Thursday, and managed to drag myself into work on Friday.

Just when I think I'm starting to feel better, I get the news Friday morning that our beloved daycare is closing in a few weeks. The owners were involved in a legal battle with each other which would take a lifetime to explain to you. They couldn't come to an agreement for renewing the building lease and continuing on with the business, so they had no choice but to close the doors. I was so devastated when I found this out, the boys did really well there and have been there for quite awhile now. So after Sobfest 2009, I ended up having to take the rest of the day off work to go find a new daycare since 50+ parents were doing the same thing that day. Thankfully, I think we found a new place for my boys, I'm going back tomorrow to check out a few more things before we finalize it.

So after these very emotional last few days, Chase decided that he needed to cheer Mommy up. So he busted out with this tonight...

Yup, that's about all it took to make me grin from ear-to-ear. He just started to take a couple steps tonight and quickly progressed to 10-12 steps at a time. He was so excited with his new accomplishment... as you can tell by his perma-grin!
