Fun at the Park

Saturday was an overcast day with very little sun, which was a welcome change. With the sun not peeking through the clouds all day, we took this opportunity to go to the park and enjoy the outdoors. It took us about 10 minutes to remember just how warm it can still be in September, even without the sun! Little Chasey has some serious sweat glands, and they were in full effect within about 5 minutes. The poor little thing. Here are some pictures we took before the heat really kicked in.

This is one of the first times that Chase has been old enough to really enjoy the swings. Given the unbearable Florida sun, it's been months since we ventured out to the park during the middle of the day.

Braedyn has advanced to the big boy swing. He loves to swing so much that he sat there for a solid 30 minutes, just swinging back and forth. And he would've lasted longer if we didn't have to go because Chase was sweating buckets. =)

Here are two candid shots of Ben and the boys that I just really like alot.

I also really like this next photo of Chasey. I was trying to figure out why I like it so much, and I finally figured it out. It's one of the very few photos in which his face still looks somewhat baby'ish, rather than the big boy toddler that he has grown into!

When Braedyn grows up, I will always look back on pictures of him like this and say, "Yep, that's classic-Braedyn... serious and always observing something or someone." I also recently started using my Paint Shop Pro software to edit all my photos, so I'm quite proud of the end result of the editing of this photo. But I guess you have to see the "before" picture to appreciate the "after". So just take my word for it, I did a good job with this picture. =)~

And just to prove my point about how warm it was, here is my Little Chase, seriously flush and sweaty... after about 15 minutes of light activity. Is it just me, or is he gripping that juice cup for dear life... making sure it doesn't go anywhere!

Some of you have asked how the boys are doing at their new daycare. I am very pleased to report that they have adjusted remarkably well since starting there. It's been about 1 1/2 months, but both of them settled in and were comfortable after the first week. The drop off process is so much less stressful - no crying or clinging to Mommy's leg. But I honestly think that has alot to do with the consistency of the teachers that are there in the morning. For those of you that have kids, I'm sure that you can attest to the statement that routine is key for creating a happy child!
