Not that these pictures really symbolize Thanksgiving, but when the food was put on the table, the only thing I cared about was eating, not taking pictures. Sad situation that is! We spent this Thanksgiving with Ben's parents, and on the way up there, Braedyn decided to check out the ads and start making his Christmas List.
I guess I'm probably just one year away from when Braedyn starts cutting out pictures from the ads and putting them in his letter to Santa.
While at Grammy's house, the boys loved running around the yard since there is alot of grassy area. So they burned off quite a bit of energy after feasting on Thanksgiving dinner.
There are also a few hills in the front yard which were a bit difficult for Chase to handle. He finally got tired of falling and just crawled around.
Crawling had to be difficult for Chase since his #1 hobby is walking. Seriously, all this little guy does is walk. He walked for the majority of the day, and was so wore out that he fell asleep 45 minutes earlier than normal, and slept in the next day.
Here is Braedyn getting in some play time with Grammy's dog, Mickey. Braedyn was having a good time with Mickey... until Mickey punctured a hole in the blue ball that Braedyn was playing with. Notice that ball only appeared in one picture above. It was quickly deflated by Mickey's teeth!
The Friday after Thanksgiving officially started the cool weather season for us. It was in the 60's during the day, which is downright chilly by Florida standards. So the boys had to bundle up that day (or get as bundled up as we do in Florida).
Braedyn found this stick in the yard, and I swear, you would think he found a pot of gold with how excited he got. What is it with boys and sticks anyway?
So as for Thanksgiving, the food was good and plentiful. And I kid you not when I say that I came home 2.2 pounds heavier after two days. What is it about this holiday that makes "portion control" a nonexistent concept.
I thought this day would never come, but the boys are finally at the age where they take a bath together (read as: Braedyn finally allows Chase to take a bath with him). And wow, that is so much less work for me! But the funny thing is, they still act like they are bathing alone. Braedyn does his thing, and Chase does his thing. Surely that's not normal, right?!?
Due to Chase's nonstop love of walking, I finally found a way to get him to sit down and take a break.
Him and Braedyn both love these ice pops. And sadly enough, it's pretty much the only way to get Chase to sit still for ten minutes. But hey, desperate times call for desperate measures!
Today, the last of my Christmas presents that I ordered from Amazon arrived in the mail. Is it bad that I felt a twinge of sadness about this? You know, the fact that it's not even December yet, and I'm not *supposed to* be shopping for Christmas anymore. I'm not going to lie, right now I have an overwhelming urge to get in the car and go to Target. You know, just to "look around".
But instead, I guess I need to go finish putting my tree together. That would be the tree that I attempted to put together earlier in the day when the boys were awake. I still have no idea what in the world I was thinking!! So hopefully I can get that finished tonight... that is, if putting on the tree lights don't drive me to drink one-too many glasses of wine. Because those tree lights have been known to do that in the past. Just saying...
