Daddy, Wake Up!!!

This is mine and Braedyn's attempt to wake up daddy this morning. Even though it was 7:15 am, which is kind of early on the weekend (at least it was prior to having a baby), Braedyn has already had his morning feeding and taken his first morning nap. And daddy is still snoozing away. What is wrong with this picture?!?

On a sadder note, Braedyn has gotten his first sickness - exactly 2 weeks after starting preschool (that's our new fancy verbiage for daycare...just go with it). He had thrush, which apparently is a common bacteria that forms in the baby's mouth. It turns his tongue and inner cheeks a blotchy white color. Ms. Becky pointed it out to me when I picked him up from preschool on Wednesday and told me to monitor it to determine if it was actually thrush. And thank goodness she told me all about it, because if Little Braedyn would've woke up with a white tongue and I was not forewarned, I seriously would've been Crazy Psycho Mom calling up the pediatrician at 6:00 am in the morning. So, after a visit to the pediatrician that morning, turns out he has an ear infection too. Who knew! I guess the earache may have been in the beginning stages, because my little angel was still eating and sleeping like a champ! So after some antibiotics, Braedyn is better than ever.

And on a funnier note.... this was my first week back to work from my 4-month maternity leave... and on the fourth day back, I was home with a sick child. How do you like that one?
