He Can Laugh Too?!?

So, Braedyn has never been much of a smiler or laugher. He's not one of those babies that just smiles all the time, you really have to earn his smiles. At least, I thought so anyway. I picked him up from preschool the other day and Ms. Yolanda was telling me how he loves these two cutout cardboard things that hang from the ceiling over his crib. She says "he just stares at them and smiles and laughs". Huh? What? I said "Umm, he laughs?" She says "Oh yeah, he just laughs and laughs at them." I seriously thought she had Braedyn confused with another child.

After we got home, I was telling Ben this story as we were playing with Braedyn in his exersaucer. And then....it happened. Braedyn started laughing and smiling and laughing some more. And what was the source of all this laughter...

Yep, you guessed it, that damn yellow sunflower - the same sunflower that just sits on his exersaucer and does nothing. Ben was moving it around in front of him - which we've done many times before - and I guess he finally decided he had made mommy & daddy wait long enough for a laugh. I wonder what else our little tyke is holding back from us!
