Braedyn's Art

Since Braedyn's in the Big Boy room at school, he gets to do art projects each week. When I brought home the first week's projects and showed Ben, he started laughing. After I smacked him on the side of the head and explained that you're not allowed to laugh at your child's art projects, he finally stopped laughing... sort of. Last week, Braedyn's class was learning how to make the color grey by mixing black & white. Here is his *exceptional* elephant painting using the color grey.

Now that is a quality art project! But the elephant painting was nothing compared to his projects he did this week when his class learned to make the color pink by mixing red and white together...

That's one fine looking pig, don't ya think? I mean, even I would kiss that adorable looking piglet. Ben says - referring to his heart painting - "why doesn't he stay inside the lines?" For goodness sakes, Little Boy is only 15 months right now, Ben is 30 and still can't stay inside the lines!!

All of that art work must have worn down the Little Boy though. He's suffering from a viral infection now and is not in good spirits... at all, and just wants lots of rest and snuggling from Mommy and Daddy.

Hopefully he'll get through this soon. Of course, the fact that 5 of the 12 kids in his classroom were out sick yesterday with the flu is not a very good sign, huh?

You better go out and get the biggest Rubbermaid container you can find to start putting all this artwork in. It's never ending but very cute. Trust me when I say you keep every piece of paper until they are at least in pre-school. It's hard to part with. LOL. Looks like he's doing great! Go Braedyn!

May the art work collection begin! Man, it is overwhelming at times all the paper that comes home each day. There is a never ending pile on the floor in the car in front of Nicholas seat, then at the end of each week I go through it. I did keep every single piece and finally about a year ago started picking out things that were "cute" or "better" than others. Unfortunately, that is still a huge Rubbermaind full! lol! Good luck with it!
