My husband finally caved and bought me new kitchen appliances!! ::grinning from ear to ear:: We started out getting a dishwasher, and then somehow we ended up with a new fridge and stove also (I'll have to take credit for that one).
Here is our new fridge - my favorite part would be the ice dispenser. I never used ice before at home, but now that I have an ice dispenser with the option of crushed or cubed ice, I feel the need to have all my drinks on the rocks... sometimes crushed, sometimes cubed.
This is our new stove and dishwasher. Aren't they the prettiest ever?! My favorite feature of the stove... the digital clock on the center display. Yes, I know, it doesn't take much to humor me, but I LOVE the clock. Oh, and the timer also. A timer comes in handy when I get sidetracked with entertaining Braedyn... or Ben for that matter.
We never had a dishwasher in our home, so this is our new luxury item. Well, let me rephrase that, it's MY new luxury item. Lord knows Ben doesn't even know where we keep the dishsoap (which would be on top of the sink in plain view). I know, most of you are still trying to grasp the concept that I've gone this long without a dishwasher. Honestly, it never bothered me until I had a child. Then it became increasingly difficult to find the time to do the pile of dishes in the sink... which is why I'd have to bribe my mom to come over every so often to clean up my kitchen for me.
So the good thing about the dishwasher is that Ben claimed that "once we got a dishwasher, loading and unloading the dishwasher would be his chore". Pretty good deal, huh? Well, let me explain to you how that is going so far. We ran the dishwasher for the first time last night around 7:00 pm. Here we are - 24 hours later - and the dishwasher is still full of clean dishes, just waiting to be unloaded. And Ben... well Ben is on the couch watching basketball right now. Hmmm... what is wrong with this picture?!
And below is a picture of Little Boy inspecting our new fridge after it was delivered. I'm not quite sure what he was looking for, but he quickly figured out how to pull himself up onto the lower ledge of the fridge. So now every time the door is open, he runs to the fridge to try to look inside and pull himself up. This can't be a good thing...
And my other afterthought... why didn't someone warn me that stainless steel and Little Boy handprints aren't a good combination. Just like my french doors - the bottom 1/3 of the doors are already smudged with Little Boy markings. Between him and the kitty nose and paw print markings, I've pretty much given up on cleaning the lower portion of the doors. Seriously!

Hi Patty and Ben and Braedyn,
I'm Aunt Bee (Uncle Dan's Wife.) Ben's mother just gave me your blog info yesterday. She and Jason, Jessica and Penny visited us. I love this internet stuff. What a good way to keep in touch.
I'll be looking in often, Patty. Good luck with the new appliances and the help from Ben. I have very few memories of Ben not in front of the TV with sports on it. On the flip side we don't have a dish washer and Uncle Dan does help with the dishes. He does them a few times a month.
Braedyn is too cute for words. Throw him a kiss from me.
Good luck with the new addition too.
Send me Your email address if you get the time. I'm beewisteria@gmail.com
Love Ya All, Aunt Bee
Hi Patty! Caught your pg comment on Amy Lawson's site. Been looking for other pg blogs...and you have a little one too to boot!
Love your appliances (aren't new ones great!?) They actually make a stainless-steel look alike called (I think) Satina that doesn't show marks as bad as SS. Nice knowing that after the fact, huh!
Congrat on the new appliances! Woot-woot!! :D
Hey that looks like my dishwasher and refrigerator! However, John finally took them out of the box and installed them. He is enjoying them eminsely. However they are at his house and I am at mine. Something is not going right here. He still keeps working on it. HA> And how many years has it been. Love this blog. Connie T.

That pic of Braedyn in the fridge looks too familiar. I remember Montana doing that but he is past that now. Now he likes to put his robot toy in the fridge to get nice and cold. For what reason, me not know :) Oh, and don't you remember the other year when i showed on my blog the shoestrings hanging out of the freezer, lmao.
