Alright, I admit it. I have a serious case of Blogger's Block. This going back to work thing has zapped all my creativeness, leaving me struggling to come up with blog fodder (is that a word?). And also, it suddenly seems like I have no time for anything. I'm trying to catch up on my dvr shows, clear things off my to-do list (it appears that "clean master bathroom" will be on the list indefinitely), keep up with all some of the household chores -- and all this while trying to not fall off the Weight Watchers wagon. So it must be said, while a gazillion others are waiting with baited breath for the Presidential Inauguration... I'll be catching up on my beloved 90210 and Grey's Anatomy on that night, while munching on my 94% fat free popcorn that tastes like cardboard. These are good times...
So you know how sometimes you can read a story about x, y or z, and it will inspire you to change things or do something new. Well, one of the bloggers I follow has a side blog about saving money through coupons and other things, which you can read all about HERE. I sometimes would cut out coupons for things I use, but in all honesty, I never remembered to bring those damn things to the store with me. So coupons and using my brand new CVS savings card are my new project.
I'm sure I won't be scoring the insane deals that are shown on Katy's Blog, but it's all about the baby steps. And in all honesty, it's quite exciting to see how much money you can actually save when you put a little effort into it. Now all I have to do is find a way for Quicken to track all my savings, so that I can have all that money deposited into "Patty's Slush Fund". I mean, seriously, I'm going to find some way for that program to work in my favor if it's the Last. Thing. I. Do.

And now, a few pictures of the family...
Off to organize my coupons... hee, I never thought I'd hear those words come out of my mouth.

Ah, coupons! You will be amazed at how much you will love them when your slush fund starts growing by leaps and bounds. Pair coupons w/ BOGO free at Publix and you can easily get 80$ worth if stuff for half price!
