Crawling 101

"
It all starts from a happy place. You see, I really love to sit, just sit and play and look around, and then sit some more. What's wrong with that? Why do I have to figure out this whole crawling thing? The hoops I jump through to make Mommy and Daddy happy. So here goes nothing..."
"Okay, so I lunge forward and put my hands down. Seems easy enough. But wait, what the heck is going on with this leg of mine. It's got a mind of its own. Why is it sticking out and how do I get it back in? Seriously, I really was happy just sitting on my baby butt."
"Whew, I finally figured out that leg thing. That was really wierd. Okay, now I think I'm just about ready to take off. Arms in position... check. Legs in position... check, err, umm, close enough. Now I just have to crawl. Here we go! Wee!!"
"Huh? What the...?!? Are you kidding me? How do I always end up back on my belly? This is impossible, there's absolutely no way those little legs of mine will move in sync with my little arms. People expect way too much out of a little guy like myself."
"New strategy... lay really still and don't move. After Mommy & Daddy leave the room, then I'll sit up and play! No more of this crawling nonsense!!"
