Zoo Time

Braedyn had his first dentist appointment this week. It went something like this: screaming... crying... no tears... more screaming... more crying... but still no tears. Needless to say, he was not a fan of the dentist, but I figured as much since he's not a fan of brushing his teeth. The bright spot of the whole appointment was when the dentist told us we didn't have to come back until 6 months later for another cleaning. And thank goodness, because that's about how long it will take for Braedyn (and me) to recover from this first visit.

After the screamfest, we enjoyed a day at the zoo. Braedyn enjoys the zoo so much more now that he is a little older, and also because he can name all the animals and imitate their sounds. Here's some pictures from our trip...

Taking a peek at the little frogs.

Getting up close and personal with the "Whoa, Big Bird" (as Braedyn referred to it). After he saw this bird, he started flapping his arms like crazy and chanted "caw, caw, caw". It was the funniest thing ever.

The cougar shown above was the main attraction in this cage. Yet, the only thing Braedyn focused on was that blue ball on the opposite side of the cage shown below. Go figure!

Giving the giant turtle some hugs and kisses. Not quite sure what compelled him to do this, but hey, he's a loving child (and he gave me a great photo opportunity). You can't really fault him for that.

And Braedyn's favorite part of the whole zoo was the train ride. Although he looks very serious (typical Braedyn), he thoroughly enjoyed this. And as soon as the train ride was over, he refused to get off and kept saying "again, again".

And since this day was all about Mommy and Braedyn, we splurged for an animal train toy in the gift shop. When I'm sans husband, I'm the gift shop owner's dream come true! =)~

Are you sure he was having fun on that train ride? He really does look so serious!
