Sunshine (Finally!) and Some Fun

Yes, it did rain for 6 solid days here in Florida. Yes, I was fed up with the flooded streets, the craptastic hair days, and the massive lack of sunshine. And miraculously, we somehow managed to not float away.

Our Memorial Day weekend started out the same way as every other holiday weekend... with a trip to the pediatrician's office. Chase has yet another ear infection, go figure. So his doctor extended his antibiotics a few extra days to last him up until his scheduled ear tube surgery. Hopefully this will be the last infection for a long time to come... key word being "hopefully"! After that wonderful adventure, we managed to see the sun peeking through the clouds for about one whole hour on Saturday, and then it rained again. ::sigh:: But thankfully, things finally cleared up for the few days we spent at Grammy & Pop Pop's house. Here's some non-cloudy, non-rainy pictures from our weekend.

Given the fact that Braedyn had some fantastic pouting moments when Chase attempted to play with the cars and trucks kept at Grammy's house, Chase decided to find himself a new toy of his own. As it turns out, the kitchen sink has a very high entertainment value!

I had to post this picture, because this has become Chase's "classic face". It was fairly windy at the beach, and this is Chase's reaction to all the wind... a scrunched up little face that always makes me giggle!

Ben and Braedyn looking for something in the sand. Could it be that they were looking for my lost Mother's Day present? If so, don't worry Ben, I'll be booking my spa visit later this week. =)~

Braedyn reading about the Magic's fantastic win on Sunday night. Well, truth-be-told, the kid can't really read (had you fooled though, huh?), he saw the basketball picture when Ben was reading the paper, and immediately lost all interest in everything else.

This is Braedyn driving "the bus"... also known as my in-law's RV. He was in heaven in this thing. He kept referring to it as "Big Bus! Big Bus!" He had fun sitting in the driver's seat and umm, well, pushing a bunch of buttons that he shouldn't have. I'm sure Pop Pop will appreciate that tomorrow when he starts the RV and the radio is blaring, wipers are on hi-speed, and the heat is on full blast. These are good times for a toddler.

And as I finish this post, I just noticed that it is once again raining outside. What the... seriously, Rain Rain, Please Go Away!!
