Braedyn is home with Mommy today. Good news is that he doesn't have another ear infection - which means the tubes in his ears are magical! Bad news is that he has pink eye. Not quite sure why they call it pink eye, since it's actually a yellowish-green gunk that comes out of his eyes. I took him to the pediatrician yesterday and got drops for his eyes. What a joke that is... trying to put eye drops into a 9 month old's eye?! Now THAT is something we should have gotten on video. Seriously, it's a damn near impossible task to do.
So here's a sneak-peek of our fun-filled day so far... Braedyn ate bananas this morning. No, not the kind in the jar... REAL bananas. It was the first time he had them, and he thought they were the yummiest thing ever!!

Newsflash: Bananas aren't the easiest thing for a Tyke to pick up, since they eventually get sorta slimey and stick together. But, Braedyn powered-through that challenge and managed to eat quite a bit of them. He must have inherited Ben's motto of "No Food Goes to Waste". =)
After we ran some errands, we came back home and were practicing his crawling skills. I think he's really getting close to figuring this crawling thing out. He can maneuver himself around on his belly quite well. Then when he manages to get on his knees, he pushes himself backwards. I would like to think he's crawling backwards and will soon figure out how to crawl forward. But unfortunately, I think he's pushing himself backwards so that he can get himself into a sitting position! What is that about?!? Anyway, as I didn't want to disappoint all 3 members of our fanclub - I put together a little video.

I couldn't resist adding the footage with the kittycat. Braedyn is mesmerized by the cats. They're smart to keep their distance for now... you know, since he hasn't quite figured out the difference between grabbing and petting their tails!

So Patty... how is that vacation/sick time working out! It really stinks when you have to take all the time off with the little sick ones! Maybe you dont have to use time when he's sick and just get paid for not being there or whatever..that would be great! Anyway, the sickness thing never ends, does it. Funny, when I picked Nicholas up yesterday afternoon, I thought he might be getting pink eye (I get it quite often)..this morning he was clear though, no gunk or redness...only time will tell! Tim was just home with him on Monday to go to the doctor for the ongoing, never ending cough he's had. I'd love it if we could get together sometime, maybe we can set something up. Take care, Jen
