Braedyn's First Table Foods

Today was the day Braedyn officially became a Big Boy, as this was the day he ate his first table foods. I wasn't quite sure what to start this experiment with, so I finally decided on peas. My logic was this: If I, the pickiest eater ever, has a fondness for peas, then surely everyone should like peas. Made sense to me...

Here's Mr. Braedyn himself happily mugging for the camera as he gets ready to explore those strange, little green things on his plate. I had to put a few in his mouth so he could taste them. After he tried to spit out the first two, he eventually decided that he might actually like the peas.

Here is Braedyn cautiously trying a few peas by himself, one pea at a time. Every now and then he'd miss his mouth, but still chew as if he got it in. That's our Tyke!

And then... before you knew it, he was shoveling the peas in by the handful! He'd get 5 in his mouth and drop 2 on the seat. Details... Details... I must say, I was quite proud of Braedyn. He was like a seasoned pro with the peas. Kinda makes me wonder if he's been eating this stuff for weeks already at preschool. Hmmmm....

Ben was stressing about the peas that ended up on the carpet and the mess Braedyn was making. Awwww, My Sweet Ben, he just doesn't know what he's in for. =) Shhhh! Don't anybody tell him!!

It's time for Mickey to pay a visit. He will happily eat anything and everything that falls on the floor. Having a dog is a big plus for tykes who drop food all over the place.

He is too cute. Do you think you can bring him over to give Montana lessons on how to eat veggies, lol. Oh, and don't you have one of those mats to catch all the food under his highchair?
