Need Wine Now

I looked in the fridge and noticed that I'm on my last bottle of wine. Call me crazy, but I just don't think that I should ever be on my last bottle of wine. The wine supply should be continually replenished (take a hint, Ben). I'm pretty sure that the last of my wine will be all gone after tomorrow evening, so it would be great if someone could pick me up more wine at Sam's tomorrow (take a hint, Ben). Because after the long day I will have tomorrow, I might need two glasses of wine instead of one glass in the evening.

Braedyn has been sick with some kind of viral infection or stomach bug. He was home from preschool today, and will be home tomorrow as well. I'm not sure who's more demanding - a sick toddler or a 2-month old infant. I think I'm become numb to having to juggle both little ones at the same time. I've realized that sometimes one of them will just have to be ignored until I get the other one settled and happy. Still not an easy task though, and Braedyn is always quick to make sure that he is taken care of before Chase. Such brotherly love, huh?

Braedyn's new thing is playing with all of Chase's stuff. He's fascinated by it and it keeps his attention. Sure it's only for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, but hey, those are 5 or 10 valuable minutes when I'm trying to juggle both little ones for the day. All of this stuff was Braedyn's at one time, but I am not sure that he remembers any of it, except maybe the crib. So here he is sitting in Chase's bumbo seat...

... and playing in Chase's exersaucer.

... and staring intently as Chase's crib mobile goes round and round. And yes, he actually has to sit in the crib and do this, he can't watch it from the ground. Usually Braedyn is trying to bat at the animals as they spin around. He's a bit subdued in this picture because his sickness has zapped all his energy.

I think we may be reaching a turning point with Chase. He is now starting to observe his surroundings more, which means that he is content with sitting in his swing or laying in his crib or laying on his play mat for a little while. It really is a great thing since I initially thought he hated all of these things as he had very little interest in them until now. But watch out, because when he's bored with these things, he still has the ability to exercise those lungs of steel. And he'll holler like you wouldn't believe until he's picked up. Here is a picture of the little guy being very calm and content on his play mat.

Oh how I love the "new" Chase. Now, if only he'd give me that 8 hour stretch of sleep at night... I know, wishful thinking, huh?

This week kicks of the new fall tv season - Yippee!! The best premiere thus far is the new episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba. I think there were only about 10 episodes last season, and Braedyn watches those same episodes over and over and over again. We've all seen them a million times, and I was *this close* to going over the edge at the thought of having to watch any of those episodes one more time. I mean, don't get me wrong, the show still grates on my nerves, but at least it's a bit more tolerable with the new episodes. You know it's a sad situation when I'm more excited about new episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba than Grey's Anatomy. What has happened to my life?!?
