Well, it's official, I've decided to rejoin the YMCA. I must admit though, this act of desperation has more to do with getting a little *escape* from the hectic life with two little ones, and less to do with me being excited about getting back into shape. Pretty pathetic, huh? But I figure if I go to the gym a few nights a week, I can maintain my sanity and let out any frustrations there, rather than taking it out on my husband. I'm sure he'll appreciate that!
While I was on my way to sign the papers to rejoin the YMCA, I was thinking what a big milestone this is. It's been 7 weeks since Chase was born, and I'm ready to workout again. After having Braedyn, I didn't start back at the gym until 5 months later (and that stint lasted only 2 months before Ben cancelled my membership since I never went. But that's a whole other story...) So anyway, in honor of this momentous occasion, I decided to celebrate by driving through Chick-fil-a today and ordering a medium fries and sweet tea. After all, isn't this what any normal person would do?
And after gobbling down my fries and sweet tea, I was thinking how I was already starting on the right track, and was amazed at the willpower I exercised today. You see, normally when I go to Chick-fil-a, I order the large fries and sweet tea. So the simple fact that I settled for a medium instead of a large is nothing short of amazing. As I was patting myself on the back, I also decided that I deserved to take the night off from the gym tonight to celebrate having this great willpower at Chick-fil-a today.
I don't know about you, but I can already tell that this new workout plan of mine is going to be smooth sailing!!

So what would you have done if you ordered a small??
Mmmm... I do love me some Chik-fil-A!!!
Good for you for getting back to your workouts. My "babies" are 5 and 7... don't think I can use the "pregnancy weight" excuse anymore!
Congratulations on the small fry. Oh, and the gym, too. I loved the Y when my kiddos were little.
7 weeks post partum? YOU ROCK.
