Birthday Boy

Braedyn turns one year old on Friday, the 21st. ::gasp:: I still can't believe that it's been a year already! We had his first birthday party this weekend to celebrate. Here are some pics from his Big One birthday party.

This is Braedyn and his cousins, Charlie & Sage, going after the candy from the pinata. He has no clue what he's actually grabbing at this point, but if it's something he hasn't seen before, he just has to explore it!

This was the extent of my decorations... so I had to have a picture taken in front of it to commemorate my hard work. haha.

Braedyn's Birthday Cake. I had a much fancier cake in mind, but Publix' cake copying machine was broke, so I had to settle for this. Not that it matters, it all tastes the same anyway.

Braedyn trying out his own little birthday cake. I have no idea why I imagined that he would do a face plant into the cake. He was so cautious and careful when tasting the icing. And honestly, the icing on his hands are mainly from me putting his fingers on the cake trying to encourage him to eat it. I know... the things we do for home video footage!


Here he is playing with one of his favorite gifts... a little drum. Give this child something he can pound on, and he's the Happiest Little Boy ever!

He *almost* stayed awake for the entire party. =) He finally crashed about 1 1/2 hours into the 2 hour party, but he was quite the trooper. Ben and I finally had to wake him up after 2 1/2 hours of napping, he was so exhausted.

And finally, this is him playing again before bedtime. He got the couch and legos as gifts too. He loves his couch A Lot! He does this thing where he stands up behind the couch, lifts his arms up and then dives forward on to the couch. Okay, where he got this from, and how he learned to do this in less than 30 minutes is beyond me, but it's the cutest thing.

So thank you to everyone who came over and celebrated Braedyn's First Birthday. It really meant alot to us, and we had a great time.
