Vacation Fun

Well, not really vacation, but Braedyn's been on vacation from preschool all week. And even though Mommy has been terribly sick, Braedyn still decided he was going to become a true toddler this week, and go from 2-3 naps per day to one long nap. Ummm, thanks...

Today is the first day I am finally starting to feel better, let's hope it lasts for more than one day! So while I'm in the mood, here are some pics and video from Braedyn's week at home.

My friend, Connie, bought Braedyn this little toy puppy for a Christmas present. When you pull the puppy along, he yaps and moves his ears and tail, and Braedyn loves to watch this little animated puppy in action. He likes to "take the puppy for a walk", but it's kinda more like "drag the puppy along behind him".

Here are some action shots of Braedyn's stunt move that he does on his Little Boy couch that his *Aunt* Joy bought him for his birthday. He stands up behind it, lunges forward with his mouth wide open, then lands on the couch and laughs. Where does he learn this stuff from?!

My friend, Tara, just got a new miniature dachsund puppy named Bella. She brought Bella over for a visit today. Braedyn loved Bella and he giggled and laughed everytime he looked at her. It was pretty cute. Here's a picture of Braedyn playing with the little puppy.

And finally, here is a video of Braedyn playing with his shape sorter and pots and pans. Ben and I worked with Braedyn - for what seems like forever - to try to teach him how to put the blocks in and out of the box. We finally just kinda resigned ourselves to believe that he has Daddy's lack of small motor skills, and just wouldn't figure this one out. But then, all of a sudden, he started to drop his blocks in the box this week. It was so exciting!!

The shape sorter also has the shapes carved into the side so that you can push the shapes through the correct openings. Ben says "do you think he knows how to put the shapes through the side too?!" Oh - my dear husband - he's living in a dream land!!
