Even with the unusually warm (80 degree) weather here in Florida, you all will be happy to know that I got my Christmas spirit back! Whew... that was a close one. I finally managed to get the last batch of our Christmas cards in the mail. I think my hand is still sore from writing all those out. Afterwards, I told Ben that I felt like I was reliving the Seinfeld episode - where George's wife, Susan, dies from toxic glue from licking all the envelopes. Blech!!!
So anyway, if you haven't received your card yet... you should get it soon. And to those of you that have received it and gave me praise... I love you. And to those of you that haven't told us how much you like the card - shame on you, I know where you live, and our list just got one person shorter for next year!! So, while we're on this topic, I thought I'd share a couple pics from the Christmas Card photo shoot that didn't make the cut, but are worthy of posting.
You gotta love the finger in the mouth picture, huh? Too funny. So... I finally got around to adding the decorations to our Christmas tree. It really does look so much better with some color on it! And... amazingly, I even was able to get all my Christmas music together (thanks Joy!) so we can play it in the house. So as you can tell... I am SOOOO loving Christmas again! I think this has rejuvenated me to do more Christmas shopping (just kidding Ben, calm down).Today was present wrapping day, and Braedyn and Hobbes decided that they would lend a hand. As I quickly learned... wrapping presents is an impossible task to do if Braedyn is not napping. =)
And here is our lovely, almost 5 ft. Christmas tree. I'm pretty sure the snowman topper puts it right at 5 ft, so I guess I can drop the "almost" part.
So now that I've gotten all this taken care of, all that is left to plan for now is Braedyn's birthday, mine and Ben's anniversary, Christmas, and oh yeah, that trip to the zoo that we have been planning for the past 2 months. Aaagghhhh... Tis the Season!!

Glad you were able to get back into the spirit. I received your card yesterday and can I say job well done? I thought it was very cute...even if you do look pissed off in your picture! :P
A 5 foot tree?? You're supposed to get the big tree so that Ben can put it together and your direct. It's what I do and it works great! :D
Just so I don't end up on the bad list, I did get your Christmas card and it is very cute. What's with the serious look in your photo? It almost reminds me of me! ha-ha. It must be the year b/c I had a bit of a hard time getting into the season as well. But now that all of my stuff up I am loving it. Now only if I can get Jordan to stop rearranging the ornaments. I found a couple of them in her playroom the other night......My Christmas cards will be in the mail soon. Seems like I got a late start this year.
