A Little Bit of Everything

I think I'm in serious denial about my Little Boy turning one year old. I mean, how could that have happened already?! Braedyn's birthday party is next weekend, and I still have a ton of things to do for it. I think I kept putting it all off, thinking it would never get here. I was just looking at old video clips of Braedyn, and they made me realize how much he has amazingly changed over the past 11 months. So after watching all those videos, I'm in my "I'm Not Ready for a Toddler, I Still Want My Baby" mode. But I'll spare you any more of my whining, and just move on to the next topic...

Braedyn started a new daycare this week. I think we're going to be very happy here, which is a relief. When I took him to school on Monday, I went to get him out of his carseat, and he knew that something was different, he stuck his head out to look out the car door and was just looking around, probably thinking "ummm, this doesn't look familiar". haha. It only took him about 2 days to get adjusted, and he now seems to be pretty comfortable there. So hooray for that.

Okay, so I put together a little video of some things that Braedyn is doing at the ripe age of 11 1/2 months. Included in this video is: (1) Braedyn taking his first Big Boy bath without a baby bathtub. He seems to only want to drink the water though. That can't be a good thing, but hey, it gives him practice using a cup, so I say 'go for it'. (2) Braedyn showing off his pitching hand by throwing around his little play ball. (3) Braedyn trying to escape from the house. He already knows to reach for the doorknob to open the door. Thank goodness for deadbolt locks, although it won't be long before he can reach those too. (4) Braedyn unstacking his play cups. He unstacks them (and often just knocks them over) very well, now if only we can get the stacking part of it figured out. (5) Braedyn unstacking his star stacker. He was getting a little stuck in the end, but he was a trooper and stayed with it until he got all the plastic stars off.

I know, I know... after watching that video, the only word that comes to mind is: Exceptional! =)~ And now, Friday Fiver...

Friday Fiver:

1. Are you married? Yes

2. When do your claws come out? When someone annoys me.

3. Have you ever been in a car accident? Only fender-benders (knock on wood).

4. Who is the last person you held? Braedyn, earlier this evening when I was putting him to bed for the night.

5. Describe a time you've gone overboard: This usually happens when I'm out Christmas shopping. That's why Ben likes to accompany me on these shopping trips.

Hey there! Several things come to mind after watching the video. One, those PJ's Braedyn is wearing while trying to escape are just ADORABLE! LOVE them! And then, the cruising from the door to the desk...wow! He'll be walking solo before you know it! Also, I couldn't help but notice that the basket once partially filled with a few toys is now overstuffed and bulging with many toys! HA! It sure doesn't take long...and he still hasn't even received all those lovely birthday or Christmas gifts yet! Speaking of Christmas...your Christmas card was so cute. Braedyn was just precious with the Santa hat and Yan and I laughed at you and Ben's poses. Very funny, but, sadly, true! We haven't taken that leap with the cards yet...maybe next year. We'll see! Just one more thing, ya know?! Well, we can't wait to see Mr. Braedyn live and in action next weekend. Have a great week and don't stress TOO much! See you soon! Rhonda

You realize if Braedyn was a girl he's have that stacking thing down pat, right?? LOL

He is adorable and hearing him make his cute little noises makes me smile!!
