No, not the tv show... although I will be tuning in to watch tonight's episode after I finish this post. Don't blame me for watching horrible reality tv... summer television is slim pickings!
I think Braedyn is finally realizing that Baby Chase isn't leaving, because he's starting to help out more whenever he thinks Chase is in distress. For example, the other morning Chase woke up and started crying. Braedyn grabs a pacifier from the living room table, runs to find Chase, and throws the pacifier into the crib, then he runs back out to me. Then a few minutes later, Chase proceeds to cry some more. So this time, Braedyn grabs a bib from the table, runs in and throws the bib into the crib. It was pretty damn funny. I mean, you gotta give the Little Boy credit, he's a smart little cookie.
I will admit though, sometimes Braedyn gets hyper and wound up, and "forgets" how to be gentle with Chase. Fortunately he doesn't do this too often. And it wouldn't be so bad if Braedyn didn't laugh after patting Chase's head a little too hard. I mean, seriously, what is that about??? Especially considering that I know Braedyn understands the meaning of the word "NO", because he says it all the time in response to "do you want to go night-night now". So anyway, here are some pics that I captured the other day when Braedyn was in his sweet, big brother mode.
The first pic is just simply adorable and I love how they are both looking at each other. The second pic of Braedyn kissing his little brother... I mean, how can you ever get tired of seeing these pictures. Well, you may get tired of seeing them, but me as their Mommy will never get tired of them. Therefore, you are subject to viewing them over and over again - deal with it! And the last pic is something Braedyn does all the time now. Whenever he sees a bottle sitting out, he grabs it and attempts to feed Chase. And sometimes, he actually gets the bottle in Chase's mouth, as opposed to his ear, chin, or nose.
We're taking Braedyn to Disney later in the week and meeting up with the rest of Ben's family. And this is all I have to say about that trip.... Tropical Storm Hanna, if you rain on our special day, there will be hell to pay as you are messing with a still-slightly hormonal, sometimes stressed out, mommy of two little ones. Have mercy on me - I've only been looking forward to this trip for 5 months now!!
Happy Labor Day, and I'll leave you all with a picture of Braedyn walking in his Daddy's shoes...
