It's official, at the ripe age of 2 months, Little Chase has his first official ear infection. Seriously? Already?!? I'm sure those germs were courtesy of his big brother's illness that he's been spreading around our house. So the result of all this sickness in our household looks like this:

That would be one antibiotic for Chase, one antibiotic for Braedyn, and I finally broke down and got myself an antibiotic as well since I seemed to be getting worse, rather than better, after 2 weeks. And there should be a fourth bottle for Ben, because the nagging cough that he's sporting tells me that he's only about 5 days behind me. Sheez, this is ridiculous. The only upside to this is that I'm hoping the ear infection is what caused Chase to suddenly start sleeping so horribly. So I'm banking on the fact that he'll start sleeping well again in the next couple days. I mean, I'm thankful for the 5 hour stretch he gives me, but surely he's got a 10 hour stretch in there somewhere just waiting to make its debut.
So Ben had a meeting in Orlando this afternoon and didn't get home until late. I had to give Chase a bath tonight, so I asked Braedyn if he wanted to help so that I could keep an eye on him as well. He was so excited by all of this... he grabbed the shampoo bottle and wanted me to put some in his hand. Of course, I only pretended to put some in his hand because I knew it'd most likely end up in Chase's eyes or mouth. Then I gave him a washcloth so he could wash Chase. He really took this chore quite seriously...
Then I put a tiny bit of water in a cup so that he could rinse Chase off. I think he "rinsed" Chase off once before he became completely fascinated with the cup.
And this was the point where Braedyn's attention span for bathing Chase came to a screeching halt. Within one minute, he was shoving the cup towards me saying "ooce, ooce" (juice, juice) and trying to drag me towards the kitchen. When I tried to explain to him that we had to finish with Chase first, he started pouting, then Chase started pouting, then it was as if they were trying to see who can out-pout the other by crying louder and louder. The funny thing about this is that neither of the boys had tears in their eyes despite all their crying. And I know that Chase's tear ducts are working because I've seen tears in his eyes before. So does this mean that Chase is fake pouting and fake crying... at 2 months of age? Seriously, Already?!?

Uh-oh... guess Chase just wants to keep up with his big brother! No way he'll let B out-pout him!
