The Braedyn Show

Remember in the beginning when this blog was supposed to be the "Wormeck Family Blog"... but somehow it quickly migrated into the "Braedyn Blog". Hmmmm........ well whatever, why stop now?!

Okay, seriously, what the heck is going on here? Is he hugging the crib bumper, trying to find a way to escape, or what? When Braedyn sleeps now, he is completely ALL OVER the place. He starts out vertical in the crib, and will end up either sideways or diagonal and facing in the other direction in the morning time. It makes for great entertainment for Ben and I since every time we go check on him, he's in a new position. But seriously, how is he not completely exhausted when he wakes up!

I really adore this picture of Braedyn. I mean, I know I'm biased, but he just looks so innocent and sweet. And the reason I took this picture is because Braedyn is now coordinated enough to pick up objects and easily maneuver them around. He could never play well with these blocks because they are so big, but now he can grab them with one hand and lift them up. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one reading this blog that is really excited about this milestone... but just roll with it, okay?

Okay, so Braedyn has this little square box with those see-through plastic blocks that are used with pretty much any Fisher Price toy on the market (other moms, work with me, you know what I'm talking about). So, Ben and I spend a lot of time showing him how you're supposed to pick up the blocks and put them in the box. So, you can imagine our excitement when Braedyn started picking up the blocks and lifting them towards the top of the square box... but wait, where the hell is he taking it?! Yup, as you can see, Braedyn clearly passes up the top of the square box in lieu of putting the block in his mouth. What can we say... that's our exceptional Tyke!

This is Braedyn's Leapfrog learning table that he received for his 1/2 year birthday. Yes, you read that right... he received a present for his 1/2 year birthday - get over it. It's what ALL NEW parents do, right? Right?! Anyway, I love this activity table because there's plenty of entertainment for sitting and standing babies. However, Braedyn is only fascinated with these little fabric pieces that play music when you pull on them. So, he sits there and pulls the different fabric pieces over and over again. You may call it monotonous behavior... but we like to refer to it as exceptional behavior!

And I had to post this picture because he just looks so friggin' cute. I seriously believe Braedyn fully understands that when Mommy has the camera, you give her a smile to make her happy. Because so often, he'll look at the camera and smile - then the smile quickly goes away as he continues on with what he was doing. Then I call his name again, and same thing. But hey, whatever it takes to get a picture is fine with me!
