I finally got my new camera that I've been begging for. A Canon PowerShot SD800 IS (and thanks to Joy for helping me pick it out). Supposedly Ben says that this is my birthday present (umm, it's August, and my birthday is in November). But hey, whatever he has to tell himself to sleep at night... Anyway, here are some pics from my new camera:

This is a picture of Ben showing Braedyn how to crawl. In case you can't see Ben, that is his a$$ in the upper left corner of the picture! Obviously, Braedyn is still struggling with the part of getting up on all fours, but kudos to Ben for mastering this maneuver! How cool is it that I was able to take this picture in black & white with the camera. As you can tell, it doesn't take much to get me excited.

And this is Ben and Braedyn after the crawling lesson. Is it just me, or does Ben look more exhausted than Braedyn? I mean, seriously... what is that about?!?

I just wanted to show off this cute little face that Braedyn is making in this picture. He has a habit of sticking out his tongue whenever he laughs or smiles - and this is what he looks like. You don't have to tell me, I already know this face is adorable. =) But if you really, really want to tell me anyway... then go ahead!!

This is my attempt at using the Color Accent feature, where I can just highlight one specific color when taking the picture. I'm pretty sure our pool water is alot bluer than what is shown here, but I refuse to blame it on camera-operator error. Surely something malfunctioned with the camera itself.

This is another picture using the Color Accent. Trust me when I tell you that I tried this about a gazillion times. I'm hoping that I can soon figure out how to just accent his blue eyes... but I wouldn't hold your breath for that one.
And in case you were wondering, the zoom function is working A-OK. This is a close-up of my cutie-patootie. Such a sweet, innocent face, huh? Well, either that or he's secretly begging me to put the friggin' camera away and stop taking pictures of him.

And this is a perfect example of "Bed Head". Look at my child's wild and crazy hair! And for all you nay-sayers out there (not mentioning any names... Jessica and Audrey), Braedyn's hair is actually starting to darken some. I'm telling you, this is NOT the mailman's kid!!

And this is Braedyn giving a hug to his cousin, Montana. Such a cute picture this is. Am I a little upset that I, myself, don't get enthusiastic hugs like this? Ummm, Yes, you betcha! That is why I am currently teaching Braedyn to only give out special hugs to Mommy!!
Off to continue reading my user manual for the camera. I'm only on page 7. That is page 7 of 248. I'm thinking that I should have this thing figured out by the time Braedyn starts kindergarten.
