Ben usually dreads making a shopping trip to Sam's Club, because even though we may only need a few items, we can't ever seem to get out of there for less than $100. I would give him a specific list of things to buy, and he would ONLY buy those items, and sometimes he would claim that he "couldn't find the item", which is code for "I didn't think the product was worth the price, so I didn't buy it".
Well, ever since he purchased his new tv from Sam's, he apparently holds a very special place in his heart for Sam's Club. I gave him a list of 5 things to buy today, and he came home with about 15 things. This is the result of his shopping trip:
And our conversation went something like this...Me: What the heck is all this stuff.
Ben: I ended up buying more than what was on the list.
Me: But why? We didn't need all this stuff.
Ben: I don't know what happened, when I pulled in to Sam's, I was overcome with this really happy, wonderful feeling and it just made me want to buy alot of stuff.
Me: Who are you, and what have you done with my husband?
Ben: I guess ever since I bought my tv from Sam's, I feel like Sam's is a special place, and I got really happy when I pulled into the parking lot. So since I was happy, I bought more.
And you know, I am not even going to try to understand this nonsense that is flying out of his mouth. Surely, it must be a man thing. And surely, I would NEVER get away with something like this. But I must admit, I quickly forgot about all of his craziness once I saw the enormous box of Goldfish Crackers that he bought for me. Mmmmm, these are good times!
