Montana's Birthday Party

Well, I think I finally recovered from my babysitting duties last weekend! I finally have enough energy to post on our blog again, which I know just excites all of you so much! =)~

My nephew, Montana, turned 3 years old last weekend. (This is my sister Audrey's little boy.) Audrey had a "Cars" themed birthday party since that is Montana's favorite movie at the moment. I don't have many pictures to share as I preferred to stay inside with Braedyn... you know, in the cool a/c rather than the 95 degree, smack-you-in-the-face heatwave that was going on outside. But here are a few pics that I managed to take.

These are some family members and friends that were taking advantage of the pool. There were lots of kids, but the good thing about a pool is that it pretty much entertains the kids for quite a while. I guess in Florida, summer birthdays almost always equal a pool party, huh? Braedyn's birthday is right before Christmas, so I intend to ensure his birthday doesn't get lost in the mix with the Christmas holiday. I think this year, we'll make it easy on everyone, and just tell them that a birthday AND Christmas present is required for entrance to the birthday bash. haha. That should take care of the issue this first year!

This was Montana's "Cars"-themed birthday cake. Pretty nice looking cake, huh? This was one of the cutest cakes I've seen. This is the "Before" picture....

And this is the "After" picture. That is Montana, and when it came time to sing Happy Birthday, the first thing Montana did when he saw his cake was grab the little car and start driving it through the 'grass' on the cake. It was pretty damn funny!

And of course, I have to post a picture of my cutie-patootie. Braedyn spent most of the time in his chair, rocking back & forth. He was on the screened porch for a little while, but then had to come in because it was so friggin' hot out. As you can see, he's looking a tad bit flushed in this picture. Such a cutie with those pink cheeks!
